David Gilmour: On An Island At Radio City

David Gilmour opened his North American tour this week at New York City’s famous Radio City Music Hall. A night expected to be full of songs from his newly released On An Island was that and then some. Not only was the album played in its entirety, albeit slightly out of order, Gilmour received backup vocal support from old friends David Crosby and Graham Nash. With that all-star trio performing alongside Richard Wright, audiences we able to catch half of Pink Floyd and half of CSNY play some of rocks most legendary songs together.

Opening the second set with “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” Gilmour proceeded to lead the band through such classics as “Wish You Were Here,” “Comfortably Numb,” “Time” and Stephen Stills’ “Find the Cost of Freedom.”

Luckily photographer Michael Jurick captured the special evening.
