Announcement: Jeff Waful +1 on Relix

Our friends at Relix.com have just announced the launch of their first “TV show” this afternoon and the star is a gentlemen who should be very familiar to most of our readers. Jefferson Waful came onto our radar in the early ’00s through his work as the Daily News Editor of Jambands.com before he literally changed the way we see some of our favorite bands during his time as lighting designer for moe. and then in his current position in the same capacity with Umphrey’s McGee. The new show, Jeff Waful + 1, portrays two very different sides of the music industry: a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road and a Charlie Rose-style one-on-one interview program.

Starting in Spring 2011, Relix.com will air complete 30-minuteish episodes of Jeff Waful + 1 made up of several shorter segments that can also be viewed individually. As you can see from the trailer, Jeff will give viewers a rarely seen look at life on the road and portray the real story of a touring rock band. You can also expect round-table panel, live performances and visits to musicians’ homes as well as interviews with well-known artists from the live music community. Head over to Jambands.com for more on Jeff Waful +1 and we’ll keep you posted on the availability of the first episode.
