Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend fame gave the music blogosphere a puzzling laugh earlier this week when he posted a tongue-in-cheek version of Dave Matthews’ Crash, during which he struggles mightily with the chord progression. While it seemed pretty obvious that the whole stunt was done in jest, people seemed to have missed part of the joke: Is Ezra playing left-handed?

the andy kaufman fan in me loves this. the music fan hates to see one group (which for my money comes off a bit cheeky to begin with) have a laugh at the expense of another musician.
are we sure it’s not a weird webcam mirror issue?
That’s a good point. I didn’t about the fact that it might be a mirror. Now I’m confused.
If this is a joke, I don’t get it.
