When the calendar turned to March that used to mean it was time for the Langerado Music Festival. From 2003 until 2008, Langerado brought top jam and indie acts to South Florida. It’s been two years since we’ve heard word one about the festival, but that has all changed with the announcement of Langerado 2011.
Set to take place from October 8 to 9 at the site of the 2005 – 2007 Langerado Festivals – Markham Park in Sunrise, FL – Langerado 2011 will “showcase 22 artists over two magical days” according to a press release. We’ll have to wait until June 1st for a lineup announcement, but the press release mentions we can expect “a diverse collection of artists from indie rock to electronica to modern roots.” You’ll notice the word jamband is nowhere to be found in that list of genres.
C3 Presents, the company behind Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, are teaming up with Boros Entertainment for the “reimagined” Langerado. For those willing to take a chance that they’ll like the lineup, $75 2-day early-bird tickets go on sale tomorrow at 11AM via Langerado.com. Tickets jump to $150 once the early-bird allotment sells out.

I think that implies that neither are involved in the production as of right now
