Recently reunited rockers Buffalo Springfield will prepare for their headlining set at Bonnaroo X with a four-some of warmup gigs in California. Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay, Rick Rosas and Joe Vitale will play the Fox in Oakland on June 1 and 2 followed by The Wiltern in Los Angeles on June 4 and 5. Modern folkster Gillian Welch will open each show.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees returned to action for the first time in 43 years at last October’s Bridge School Benefit concerts and are said to be touring this fall. Tickets for the Los Angeles shows go on sale this Friday – April 1 – at 10AM PDT, while the Oakland shows go on sale this Sunday – April 3 – at 10AM PDT. Don’t expect to get in for cheap as the pricey ducats run from $85 – $199.50 for the Oakland performances and $89.50 – $250 for the Los Angeles gigs. Start saving for the fall, folks.
