We keep our eyes peeled for new tour dates announcements each week and compile them on Tuesdays for this handy column…
I seem to say this every week, but 2011 has shaped up to be one of the more impressive years in recent memory full of highly anticipated releases. The next date you’ll need circled on you calendar is June 21, as Bon Iver will release their eagerly awaited sophomore album via Jagjaguwar. After recently revealing a handful of dates, yesterday the band announced a slew of additional summer dates in support of the record, which will see Justin Vernon augmented by an eight-piece band that includes many of the musicians that appear on the new record. The current tour kicks off with two hometown gigs at the Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI on July 22 and 23, and wraps with two New York City-area shows on August 8 and 9 at the United Palace Theatre and Prospect Park Bandshell respectively.
If you’re not into a night with Bon Iver, than maybe you’ll be interested in hitting one of these recently announced tours…
