In a bit of a preview of a forthcoming edition of Cover Wars, we wanted to show off a version of The Weight performed by a ridiculous supergroup that Ringo Starr put together in 1989 for his first-ever Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band touring revue. Starr is joined by The Band members Levon Helm, Rick Danko and Garth Hudson as well as Clarence “The Big Man” Clemons and Nils Lofgren of the E Street Band plus Joe Walsh and keyboardists Billy Preston and Dr. John.
