Chicago-based prog-jammers Umphrey’s McGee ended a long-standing tradition last year when they announced that their 2010-2011 New Year’s Eve show at the Riviera Theatre would be the band’s last in their hometown for the foreseeable future. While UM still hasn’t announced where they will perform this New Year’s, the group has just revealed that they will return to the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on November 25 and 26, aka the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Ticketing information will be announced soon as will “special guest support acts.” Umphrey’s first performed at the Aragon on December 30, 2005 and last played at the 4,500-person capacity venue on December 31, 2009.
