Guy Who Can’t Fix Knicks Debuts New Song Called Fix The Knicks

Based solely on talent, James Dolan and his The Straight Shot blues band opened for The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, on July 27 at Jones Beach. Once you stop laughing, we’ve got another quip for ya. Dolan, who has run the Knicks since 1999, a basketball team that has not won a playoff game since 2001, performed a new tune in Jones Beach called Fix The Knicks in which he sings about the team’s troubles and his attempts to make them a contender. Most ridiculous lines in this most ridiculous song?

I check with my friends, call Isiah Thomas
Pay no mind to those nasty critics
They haven’t the thing to fix the Knicks

As you can imagine, Dolan’s song was met with disdain from the audience with audible groans meeting his delivery of the Isiah line. Take a look…

  1. Nice to see the owners up to something useful, while they threaten to cancel the entire NBA season and break the players union.
