It’s easy to forget that Pearl Jam was ahead of their time with the creation of the group’s Official Bootleg series. Within months of completing the Binaural Tour in 2000, the Seattle rockers made 72 complete shows available for purchase on CD in three waves. As recently as 2010 Pearl Jam made most shows available for digital download. Once the band stops selling old bootlegs on their website, the rules for distribution become lax. You can download 33 Pearl Jam Official Bootlegs from 2005 in 192kbps MP3 format through The Ultimate Bootleg Experience.
Here’s links to six other boots worth adding to your music collection…
- Tom Petty: 11/04/1991 SBD Oklahoma City, OK
- Stewart Copeland/Belew/Clarke: 11/16/1986 SBD
- Ryan Adams: 08/30/2011 FM London, UK
- Santana: 08/18/1999 SBD Sacramento, CA
- Radiohead: 10/02/2000 SBD Warrington, UK
- Yonder Mountain: 06/19/2009 MATRIX Telluride, CO
In other Pearl Jam news, the band will share gems from their vault each day for the next 20 days as a countdown to the release of the Pearl Jam Twenty soundtrack. Today’s clip features a performance of Better Man from Madison Square Garden on May 21, 2010…

This vid features more that 1 show. I think some clips are from MSG 2010 (I think the audio is from there), but not all the video.
Right you are, Michael. Thanks for the heads up! Ah, the hair styles of Eddie Vedder.
Yeah I was excited when I saw it was one of the MSG 2010 shows since I was a both and they were great, but you can tell the crowd is def not from MSG, neither is the venue and the other details change (on venue seems to be outside, I think).
