Video: Foster The People – Live On Letterman

Last night, electro-rockers Foster The People were the latest act to stop by the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC for a Live On Letterman webcast. The L.A.-based band showed why they’ve been put up for “Best New Artist” awards from the likes of MTV and Q Magazine during a 45-minute

Front man Marc Foster may be a novice show man, but he picked his spots well and showed tons of potential as a band leader. Highlights included the pounding beat of Miss You, the guitar-driven Helena Beat and an extended version of the hit Pumped Up Kicked that brought the performance to a close. Foster The People added additional life to their most popular song by toying with the tempo and adding a dubby section in between the final two choruses. If you didn’t catch FTP’s Live On Letterman set while it happened, you can still check it out now…

  1. Better than I thought it would be but I still don’t get the hype about these guys. MTV said they are one of the last remaining rock bands! Is that a joke??

  2. I thought it was a solid set. I especially enjoyed the segue action, they kept thier heads down and, yeah, confidently moved through the music.

  3. You are sooooo awesome with the way you play music….. You all have my Salutes!!!
