Dandy Warhols Head Out On U.S. Tour

The Dandy Warhols have made plans to tour this fall on a month-long trek that will take them from Seattle to New York and back.

The band recently released Odditorium or Warlords of Mars, its fifth album.

The group can expect to see some fresh faces at the shows, having gathered new fans through the documentary “DiG!,” which chronicled the Dandys’ adventures with onetime pals Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The tour starts November 14 at Seattle’s Showbox and continues down the West Coast and through the South with shows at notable theatres including San Francisco’s Fillmore, San Diego’s 4th & B and Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, N.C.

They’ll hit the East Coast by late November and then work their way back, finishing with two hometown shows December 13-14 at Portland, Ore.’s Wonder Ballroom.

The Dandys are drumming up publicity with an appearance on Fox’s “Mad TV” October 1, along with the release of their very own signature shoe. The “Dandy Warhol Boot” was co-designed by frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor and the namesake of John Fluevog Shoes.
