Gregg Allman Expects To Meet Confirmed Obligations

The big news on Sunday night was the Allman Brothers Band finale at the Beacon Theatre that was actually played without any Allman Brothers on stage. Rolling Stone scribe David Fricke was in attendance at Sunday’s performance and was impressed at the Gregg-less show. Within Fricke’s blog post are a few revealing quotes from Warren Haynes and a statement from Allman’s representative about Gregg’s condition…

“Gregg is returning to his home in Savannah for evaluation and treatment. His condition is currently day to day, and he expects to meet all his confirmed obligations.”

So for those of our readers wondering about Wanee, that’s the latest. For his part, Haynes told Fricke that, “They say [Gregg’s] back should fix itself up with rest and care.” If you’re wondering, Fricke thought Sunday night’s performance was “great.”
