John Fogerty Pays Tribute to Himself on New Album: My Morning Jacket, Bob Seger, Foo Fighters Among Collaborators

There was a time when John Fogerty refused to play his hits from the Creedence Clearwater Revival days in concert. Over the past few decades, and after legal settlements, Fogerty has relaxed this view and now loads live shows with CCR’s greatest hits. For his next studio album, Wrote A Song For Everyone, due this fall, the legendary singer-songwriter has lined up an impressive list of collaborators to help him interpret songs from his timeless catalog.

HT faves My Morning Jacket, Foo Fighters (Fortunate Son) and Bob Seger (Who’ll Stop The Rain) are among the artists who have teamed with John Fogerty on Wrote A Song For Everyone tracks. The list of collaborators also includes country stars Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson and Miranda Lambert. More guest artists will be announced in the coming months as will the tracklisting.

What classic Fogerty song would you like to see MMJ guest on?
