A tradition that dates back to the first Bonnaroo in 2002 will continue this year at the 11th installment of Superfly and AC Entertainment’s famed festival. Roots drummer ?uestlove, who participated in the 2005 edition of the Superjam with Pino Palladino, Lionel Loueke and Herbie Hancock as well as the 2007 Superjam along with Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and guitar wizard Ben Harper, is the first performer to be confirmed for the Bonnaroo 2012 Superjam. That’s all promoters have let on, though they promise “some very special guests” will join Questo at This Tent on Saturday evening, June 9 starting at 12:45AM.

Too bad Spectrum Road won’t be over by the time this starts. Would love some Medeski-?love. How about Robert Randolph, Chris Chew, Luther Dickinson, Sharon Jones, Gary Clark Jr.? 🙂
