Listen To This: Umphrey’s McGee Releases Early Audio

Earlier this week South Bend, Indiana watering hole Club 23 was unceremoniously demolished after serving generations of Notre Dame students. Club 23 hosted one of Umphrey’s McGee’s first performances back on January 29th, 1998 and in honor of Club 23 the band has released a recording featuring the debut of the gorgeous instrumental Kimble from that show.

This marks the oldest “official” audio the band has ever released.

  1. Club 23 was my hangout when I was at college there. I probably spent 5 out of 7 nights of the week there. The regulars were a family, and Mo wasn’t just the owner, he was a friend. I am so very saddened that 23 is no longer- thanks to the Umphreys guys for releasing this in honor of 23….
