Rolling Stones To Team With WWE For 50th Anniversary Show “One More Shot” Pay-Per-View Broadcast From Newark

Odds are that not many Rolling Stones fans will be able to score tickets to the band’s four 50th Anniversary shows in Newark and London that were finally announced earlier today and are scheduled for late 2012. Well, we can take some solace in the fact that the fourth and final show, set to take place at Newark’s Prudential Center on December 15th, will be webcast on a Pay-Per-View basis around the world.

For the U.S. version of the broadcast, billed as “One More Shot,” The Rolling Stones have teamed with an organization that’s very familiar with Pay-Per-Views – wrestling’s WWE – to distribute the concert. Internationally, The Rolling Stones will work with Endemol. We like this part of the announcement

“50 and Counting is set to be a phenomenal global celebration of the Rolling Stones and we’ll soon be announcing further plans to make it an interactive experience for fans like no other,” said Tim Hincks, president of Endemol Group.

No word yet on how much the One More Shot Pay-Per-View will cost and whether former Stones members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor will participate in one or more of the 50th Anniversary shows.
