Big news from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has just broken as Rush, Public Enemy, Heart, Donna Summer, Albert King, Quincy Jones, Lou Adler and Randy Newman will be the Rock Hall’s Class of ’13 according to Rolling Stone. In our eyes Rush has been the most glaring oversight from the Rock Hall and we’re extremely excited to see them make it in.
Rush bassist Geddy Lee doesn’t hold any ill will towards the Rock Hall…
“It’s a terrific honor and we’ll show up smiling,” Rush’s singer and bassist, Geddy Lee, tells Rolling Stone. “It made my mom happy, so that’s worth it.” Lee is especially happy for Rush’s army of hardcore fans. “It was a cause they championed,” he says. “I’m very relieved for them and we share this honor with them, for sure.”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place in New York City this year. It will be held at the Best Buy Theater on April 18th. You can watch it on HBO May 18th.
