Metric’s Rhythm Section Announces Debut Album

Last Gang Records is introducing the world to Bang Lime: the two-man  project  consisting  of guitarist/singer Joshua Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key, who both also happen to make up the rhythm section of  the 4-piece Metric.   The  longtime   friends, who have collaborated on various projects throughout the years since meeting at the University of North Texas in 1991, will  release  their  debut album as Bang Lime, entitled BEST FRIENDS IN LOVE, on August 14th.  In support of the release, Bang Lime will kick off their first tour  on  August 9th with a show at the Roxy in Los Angeles.

Written over an 18-month period  while  Metric  was  on  the  road, BEST FRIENDS IN LOVE, was recorded this past January  in  a two-week  session at Sharkbite studio in Oakland, California, where the two  band  members reside.  Joshua  and  Joules  produced  the  record  and  their  friend, Montreal’s Drew Malamud (The Dears, Stars), engineered.

When not in the studio this fall with Metric, Bang  Lime  looks  forward to touring the US and Canada.
