Howie Day

 Stop All the World Now

In concert, I have heard that Howie Day’s spontaneous looping of instrumentals and vocals provide artful collisions of sound, but that could very well be a myth based on the evidence of his new album Stop All the World Now. The lyrics are uninspired and simple, themed with emotionally immature issues. The instrumentals sound overly rehearsed and bored, and the overall feel is seriously lacking artistic merit. If love-torn, boy-pop is what you want, you are much better off with John Mayer than this distant runner up.
