After selling 12 million albums since their debut in 2000, 3 Doors Down releases their third, Seventeen Days. Recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, and produced by Johnny K (Finger 11, Disturbed), the album kicks off with a hard-charging, raw, “Right Where I Belong,” which actually sticks out from the rest, as most of the songs are more polished with a slower tempo. That’s not to say this is an album of ballads - there is plenty of energy and emotion throughout it - but less dirt in your face than the opening track. The change of pace makes for a solid record, and despite trepidation, with this latest effort, there appears to be no indication of any letup from this Escatawpa, Mississippi four-piece. The quality of the music from beginning to end speaks towards their prowess in the studio. There's even some star power thrown in, as Bob Seger makes an appearance on “Landing In London.” Unfortunately his neo-legendary status goes much unnoticed, as he spends most of the tune in the background.
