Phish has just released the leadoff single from a recently completed new studio album, which will hit stores this summer.
Titled "Times Turns Elastic," and clocking in at 13-and-a-half minutes, the new cut is available starting today (5/26) exclusively via Apple's iTunes Store, and video footage of the band recording the track is posted at Phish's website.
"I began writing this little tune for Phish--and it just kept growing and growing," Phish frontman Trey Anastasio said in a press release. Last week, Anastasio performed a version of the cut with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
"Times Turns Elastic" paves the way for the July 28 release of an as-yet-untitled album that Phish began recording with producer Steve Lillywhite less than three months ago.
