Andrew Bird Embarking On Church Tour

Andrew Bird is set to take his tour to some churches across the country, in a self-described attempt to make his audience feel both lifted and comforted as the cold winter season approaches. The whistling troubadour will play in churches in Minneapolis and his home base of Chicago.

Bird will be playing entirely solo, and will use some instrumental violin pieces to accompany his vocals as he tours Europe, North America, Asia and Australia in the coming months. He will appear on "Austin City Limits" this Saturday, October 24, along with his tourmate St. Vincent. .
