Due to the death of two band member,.King Sunny Ade and his African Beats have canceled their April/May North American tour
Talking drummer Gabriel Ayanniyi and percussionist Omo Olope died in a car accident on March 26, according to a spokesperson for the band. According to a press release, the US Embassy did not grant visas to replacement members within a timeframe that would have allowed the tour to go forward. The tour has been canceled until King Sunny Ade and his band have had some time to regroup and are ready to face the rigors of an international tour. |
