The Flaming Lips Cancel Shows - Steve Drozd Hospitalized

The Flaming Lips have changed dates for their forthcoming tour due to  multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd's recent and unexplained hospitalization.

Dates affected include three Florida shows this month, which have all been moved to October. Tickets already purchased for the shows will be honored on the new dates. Several additional shows have already been canceled, including the band's planned May 15 appearance at Gulf Shore, AL's Hangout Fest. The remainder of the band's schedule--including a pair of festival appearances in June and a summer slate that kicks off July 3 in Oxford, MS--has not been affected.
