The Western States Motel has announced a slew of West Coast tour dates this winter. The band is gearing up for the release of their latest full-length record Freeway Freeway Riverbed, set to drop February 2011. A full list of tour dates is below. For the past year, Freeway Freeway Riverbed has been a labor of love. Locking himself into his studio/spare bedroom for days at a time, Carl Jordan often found himself in a Howard Hughes-like mindset. "After a while, the garbage would be overflowing and the dogs would look a little hungry, so I figured it was time to emerge from my cave." There were plenty of technical setbacks and a few mental breakdowns, but the final product has proven worth it. "This music means so much to me, and I feel like I keep getting better at what I'm doing," reflects Jordan. "I'm just really excited about it."
