yMusic & Shara Worden Offer Free Unreleased Track

The yMusic ensemble and Shara Worden just released a free mp3 download of Worden's "Skin & Bones," an outtake from yMusic's new album, Beautiful Mechanical. The record includes Annie Clark (St. Vincent)'s Proven Badlands (free mp3 download), plus more new music from Judd Greenstein, Son Lux, Sarah Kirkland Snider (of Penelope fame), Gabriel Kahane, and two additional tunes penned by Shara Worden.

Glide Magazine recently awarded yMusic's Beautiful Mechanical 4/5 stars, stating, "...not only [does Beautiful Mechanical prove their capability alongside their frequent collaborators, but actually asserts the relevance and necessity for a language that is wholly yMusic." yMusic will be celebrating Beautiful Mechanical in the form of a hometown release show this coming Sunday, Dec. 4 at Manhattan's Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 2. The show begins at 7PM.

In recent years, the musicians of yMusic have influenced indie rock's sound by touring, recording and collaborating with acts like Bon Iver, The National, Antony and the Johnsons, Sufjan Stevens, Vampire Weekend, Bjork and many more.
