Ready to do some more dates in support of her latest album
Sun, Cat Power will be back on stage next month with a handful of gigs scheduled in California, Colorado, Texas, New York and Pennsylvania.
Released in September on Matador, Sun is Cat Power’s first collection of original material in six years.
The last we heard from Cat Power, she was busy canceling shows. After confessing that her European tour was in danger of being called off because of money issues and her health struggle with angioedema, Cat Power initially said the dates were still going to happen, only without stage presentation. Days later she officially postponed the tour, scheduled in November and December, so she could focus on her health.
Now Cat Power is gearing up for another road trip. The U.S. outing begins Jan. 22 in Southern California.

Jan. 24 – Englewood, Colo., Gothic Theatre
Jan. 25 – Dallas, Texas, South Side Music Hall
Jan. 26 – Austin, Texas, Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater
Jan. 29 – New York, N.Y., Terminal 5
Jan. 30 – Philadelphia, Pa., Electric Factory
Tickets for select dates go on sale beginning Dec. 19. Some shows are already on sale. A previously announced Australian and New Zealand tour is scheduled in February and March.
