Q - Bomb Squad
Best Albums of 2004
  • The Bomb Squad – The Bomb Squad II
  • Black Eyed Peas - Elephunk
  • Maroon 5 – Songs About Jane (came out before this year, but I didn’t hear it till this year.)

Favorite Live Performance of 2004
  • Rush - Radio City Music Hall, Iron Maiden - Hammerstien Ballroom.
It’s hard to get a chance to see that many shows since we’re playing all the time, but I try to make time to see my childhood favorites.

Favorite On-Stage Moment/Show of 2004
  • Bomb Squad show at the Paradise on September 18th, we were filming our first full show DVD/video that night with 7 cameras! The place was jam packed, and everything just clicked, it was one of those perfect nights, great musically, and the vibe from the audience was killer!

Classic Album or Artist You Rediscovered This Year
  • Steely Dan - Royal Scam, Michael Jackson - Off the Wall, Frank Sinatra Christmas Album

Artist You Are Most Excited About in 2005
  • Stephen Kellogg a singer songwriter who I grew up with just signed with Universal Records and will release his new album in February. Javier, another guy I grew up with, is a singer/songwriter R&B artist and is working on his 2nd disc for Capitol Records. And Fuzz- probably one of the best guitar players out there right now, who also writes amazing songs.

Best New Gadget You Can't Live Without
  • Yamaha Motif Keyboard, Akai MPC 4000 drum machine. I have a home studio where I do pre production for Bomb Squad songs, and make hip/hop R&B tracks.

New Hobby Discovered This Year
  • Playing baseball - Bomb Squad is cut down the middle with the Yankee/Red Sox rivalry. On the road, every chance we got we took it to the field and played fast pitch baseball, with hardballs and wooden bats. Every once in a while we’d muscle one out of the park—granted, we were playing on little league fields!

Guilty Pleasure of the Year
  • Watching Sex and the City,

The Retro Comeback You're Hoping for in 2005?
  • Jordache jeans (for women, of course).

Selection for Person of the Year
  • My wife, Laura.

A Memorable Moment From the Road in 2004
  • A notable performance was watching jazz guitar legend, John Scofield, sit in with the Bomb Squad and play a James Brown song. He used my guitar and actually popped my E string! Funny stuff…but he always tears it up and it was cool to sit back and watch him play with my band.
