For some reason, the best shows have a habit of sneaking up on you when least expected, and often in low key situations. That being said, I really enjoyed opening for Tom Petty/The Black Crowes in Chicago this summer.

Irish singer/songwriter John Martyn. Everyone from Nick Drake to Dave Matthews have emulated him, and John set the standard for the soundscapes later copied by The Edge, Brian Eno, and Peter Gabriel
