Your Personal Favorite On-stage Moment/Show of 2008

When David Rawlings showed up at our show at the Silver Lake Lounge in LA and played electric guitar on a couple of songs.  He claims he used to be pretty good at electric guitar.

Classic Album or Artist You Discovered This Year

Finally started listening to more Blind Willie Johnson, don't know what took us so long.

Best Film You Saw This Year

There Will Be Blood -- Yeah it's from 2007, but we saw it at a brew-and-view in Arlington VA while on tour in April. Beer goes great with that movie. Whiskey probably goes better.

Favorite new gadget, technology, site or application you can't live without

A spring-loaded pincer-type tea ball, like for brewing loose tea.

Artist You Are Most Excited About In 2009 (any medium)

Well, "excited" is not the word, but we've heard that there is "An Untitled Chunk" of David Foster Wallace's fiction that is due to be published in January by Chaffey College's literary journal.

Your Latest Guilty Pleasure

"Single Ladies" by Beyonce. The video. In a dark room with headphones

What should President Obama change first in 2009?

End US-sponsored torture.  Forever.

A Memorable/Humorous/Classic Moment on the tour bus/road in 2008

Well, we were traveling with Neva Dinova, driving from Bend OR to Portland OR, and we stopped at a McDonald's for lunch (the shame, the desperation).  And Jake from Neva Dinova orders a side salad and asks the kid at the counter if there's anything else there that's healthy.  And the kid, who is mildly disabled, replies guilelessly, "We got water?"

*Bonus question – great YouTube or viral video you saw this year

Bob Dylan plays harmonica on Hava Nagliah on like a telethon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn57lvdzsKY
