Best Album(s) of 2008

Justin Townes Earle - The Good Life, Cool Kids - The Bake Sale, Girl Talk - Feed the Animals

Favorite Song(s) of 2008

T.I. feat Rihanna "Live Your Life," M.I.A. "Paper Planes" (technically 2007, i know...), Firewater "A Place Not So Unkind"

Your Personal Favorite On-stage Moment/Show of 2008

We played Forward Fest in Madison with Dex Romweber and Detroit Cobras. We met Bob Mould before the show and then after, we found out Neko Case had been telling everyone to make sure to catch our set. That was a fun night.

Classic Album or Artist You Discovered This Year

The Replacements reissues fully convinced me that they are the perfect band. A few days ago, though, I heard this Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel song, "Jesse," about Jesse Jackson's 1980 presidential run that seriously made my head explode, so it's a toss-up.

Best Film You Saw This Year

Sex & the City

Favorite new gadget, technology, site or application you can't live without

I've gotten really into these U.S. Presidents biography podcasts. My girlfriend & I sometimes listen to these while going to sleep. We're going to run out of presidents soon, though.

Artist You Are Most Excited About In 2009 (any medium)

What I've heard from the Kid Sister record is great, can't wait for that to come out. Also, I'm anxious to hear the next Justin Townes Earle; he is my hetero crush.

Your Latest Guilty Pleasure

I am a bit of a sneaker collector and will admit to checking the news on sites like solecollector.com and nicekicks.com more often than i hit msnbc.

What should President Obama change first in 2009?

Well, my first thought is how much I would like the right to marriage, but I'll be patient and say a responsible exit strategy in Iraq.

A Memorable/Humorous/Classic Moment on the tour bus/road in 2008

I was staying in Brooklyn, separate from the guys, on our fall tour. They drove to Manhattan, misunderstood a "No Standing" sign, and got our rental car towed. (Once again, I'd like to point out I wasn't there.) They got it back just in time to get us to our next show in Boston. But I had the most delicious soy chai at Bread-Stuy while I waited for them, so I didn't really mind.
