Favorite Song(s) of 2008

Your Personal Favorite On-stage Moment/Show of 2008

Pulling into a festival date we had booked in Belgium at the time we were actually supposed to be soundchecking. We were late because Jason (bass, keys) had injured himself the night before doing some late night long jumps and we had a flat tire on our van. We loaded in and soundchecked, while Jason was getting his foot looked at by a doctor on a cot that was set up on stage. People were filing into the hall because we were set to start in about 5 mins. It was a pretty chaotic scene. Basically I carried Jason off stage, we were introduced, I carried him back to his spot on stage and we started playing one of our best shows of the tour.

Classic Album or Artist You Discovered This Year

Jaguar Live in Holland (Majestic Rock), Cluster, Sibylle Baier

Best Film You Saw This Year

No Country for Old Men

Favorite new gadget, technology, site or application you can't live without

iPhone came in handy on our last few tours. Jason (bass, keys) woke up 5 miles from where we were staying while in Austin, TX and navigated his way back to us using the maps feature. Also comes in handy to have a camera, iPod, and web browser in your pocket.

Artist You Are Most Excited About In 2009 (any medium)

I'm looking forward to the film adaptation of The Road by Cormac McCarthy. We all read the book on tour during the late winter. The film was shot in our hometown in Pittsburgh and is staring Viggo Mortenson, who is one of our favorite actors.

Your Latest Guilty Pleasure

Batman comics, Batman Lego videogame

What should President Obama change first in 2009?

I'm excited about all of the Public Works talk I've heard, its seems very FDR. While I'm not a car driver myself, I hope that if we do rejuvenate the auto-industry that we use our resources to pioneer more eco-friendly autos. If so, hopefully we can create jobs, economy, and cut back on oil consumption and pollution.

A Memorable/Humorous/Classic Moment on the tour bus/road in 2008

Traveling to LA to the La Brea Tar Pits to see the Boredoms Boadrum 8-8-8. Paul (Modey drummer) was one of the leaders of the 88 total drummers. Definitely an inspiring event.
