2010 Phamily Poker Tournament Announced

From our experience, there’s no lack of Phish enthusiasts who love poker including Card Player Magazine editor Jeff Shulman, the band’s drummer Jon Fishman and Tao of Poker author Paul McGuire. Poker-loving Phish fans will finally get a chance to face off on October 30th and 31st at the 2010 Phamily Poker Tournament, which will be held at The Tropicana in Atlantic City well before those evening’s Phish shows at Boardwalk Hall with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Mockingbird Foundation.

This Five Card No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament starts at Noon on the 30th and the amount of cash in the prize pool will be dependent on the number of tickets sold with at least $50 from each entry fee going into the prize pool. In addition to the financial prizes, each table will have a bounty player who will be playing for the Mockingbird Foundation. If you take out the bounty player you will win a special, non-cash prize. Tournament rules and regulations are listed here.

Those who survive until the final table will square off on Halloween. The entry fee is $120 and you can secure your spot at Cardboard Spaceship.
