As the last of the cars and RVs pull out the dusty lots of Bonnaroo this morning, let’s take a look back at the weekend that seemed to have a number of fantastic epic highs and one monster low. We’ll break down the coverage from each day…
Thursday
- What Made Milwaukee Famous opened this year’s festival
- The Felice Brothers delivered a rowdy, rousing, boozy-set of Americana
- Vampire Weekend didn’t have to deal with any bad weather while entertaining the Bonnaroo crowd with their indie-Afro-pop
- WNEW caught Jeanne Garofalo’s performance at the comedy tent
- SF Weekly shares some terrific photos from Day One
Friday
- M.I.A. did show up, but claimed it was her last gig
- I haven’t watched many of the performances yet, but Glen Hansard’s reaction in the middle of Falling Slowly is what makes this festival great
- Kudos to The Weight for scooping SuperJam which turned out to be a tribute to Tom Waits
- By all accounts MMJ tore shit up for their late night set – check out this setlist! Can’t wait to download this set!
Saturday
- P4K has some amazing photos of Les Claypool, Sigur Ros and more
- B.B. King was given the key to the city of Manchester on stage
- The Olsen Twins celebrated their birthdays during Cat Power’s set
- As expected Pearl Jam delivered the goods with an over three hour set that featured the hits, rarities and covers
- Sigur Ros’ late-night set inspired Stereogum to give you 5 reasons you need to see them
- Kanye West hit the stage 15 minutes after his set was supposed to end (at roughly 4:30 AM) – much to the chagrin of the masses
Sunday
- Robert Randolph paid tribute to the late Bo Diddley with a rousing version of late bluesman’s signature tune
- Widespread Panic once again closed the weekend out with monster set, solidifying them as the “official” band of Bonnaroo
Finally, if you missed any of this weekend’s webcast fear not: Kurt654 has got you covered. And be sure to head over to Largehearted Boy for a complete list of audio downloads from the ‘roo, including MP3s of The Raconteurs and Metallica.

Well done, gents. Thanks for the catchup.
Great review. Seems like a Monster year for the ‘roo
nice work!
I have to say, one of my favorite bonnaroo sets was Ghostland Observatory. What an awesome, awesome band.
