Hidden Track is an online publication that offers a unique, off-beat perspective on pop-culture both new and old. Though our primary editorial focus is music, we also touch on the worlds of film, TV, sports, stand-up comedy, and anything else that strikes our fancy. Each work day, we provide our readers with a hearty mix of news, columns, and features.
Ryan Reed took over as Editor-in-Chief in July 2013. The site was founded in October 2006 by Slade Sohmer and Scott Bernstein. Slade left HT in February of 2008 and went on to start HyperVocal, with Scott taking on the role of Editor-in-Chief at HT. In January of 2009, Hidden Track was awarded the 2008 Weblog Award for Best Music Blog, a fair indication of how far we’d come in our first 28 months. Scott left Hidden Track in July 2013, with Ryan subsequently taking the Editor position. Hundreds of sites (including Stereogum, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Consequence of Sound, and The Daily Swarm) have each linked to our original content.
