Hidden Track was started in October 2006 by Slade Sohmer and Scott Bernstein to offer live music fans an off-beat look at a wide range of genres from Prog-Rock to Classic Rock to Jazz to Blues to Jam to Indie and everything in between. Each workday we provide our readers with a hearty mix of news, columns and features from over 20 contributors. Our staff came together due to our love of music, but we also touch on the worlds of film, sports, pop culture, food and anything else that catches our fancy.

Slade left Hidden Track in February of 2008 and went on to start HyperVocal with Scott taking on the role of Editor-in-Chief at HT. In January of 2009, Hidden Track was awarded the 2008 Weblog Award for Best Music Blog, a fair indication of how far we’d come in our first 28 months. Over the first four years of Hidden Track’s existence Stereogum, Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Consequence of Sound and The Daily Swarm as well as hundreds of other sites have each linked to our original content.

We’ve added a number of smart and witty contributors over the years broadening the scope of both the locations and genres that we cover. If you’d like to be a member of the Hidden Track team, or if you’d like to send us anything to screen and fluff for the masses, you can do so at scott@glidemagazine.com. We’d love to hear from you, so drop a line whenever you feel like we should listen closely to what you have to say.
