As if Matador’s deluxe reissue of Pavement’s Brighten The Corners wasn’t exciting enough by itself, the record label just announced that those who preorder the album will get a vinyl copy of Live, a concert recording from the Brighten The Corners tour that was originally intended for release in 1998. Brighten The Corners: Nicene Creedence Ed. comes out on November 18, so get your preorder in now to make sure you get a copy of Live.

  • Following up on Tuesday night’s story about Jim James, My Morning Jacket postponed its two sold-out Chicago Theatre shows due to JJ’s injuries. As expected, James also had to cancel his Obama benefit at Schuba’s. No word yet on makeup dates.

Rocking The Cradle: Egypt 1978 beat out James Taylor’s cover collection to nab the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Internet Album chart. This unbelievable piece of news comes just as the surviving original members of the band set to reunite in State College, PA on Monday night.
