Allman Brothers Band Beacon Setlist: Night 2

The intensity of the Allman Brothers Band’s 40th Anniversary Run didn’t drop one bit last night. I fired up the near hi-def Moogis stream just in time to catch the Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More opener which featured pictures of Duane Allman being projected to screens behind the band.

There wasn’t a lack of special guests as 65-year-old blues guitarist Johnny Winter joined the band during the first set for Red House, You Don’t Love Me and Highway 61. For part of the second set, the Allmans welcomed guitarists Cesar Rosas and David Hidalgo of Los Lobos for blistering versions of Don’t Keep Me Wondering and Good Morning Little Schoolgirl. Rosas and Hidalgo came back out for the Blues Jam > One Way Out encore.

Set 1: Ain’t Wastin’ Time, Done Somebody Wrong, Hot ‘Lanta, It Stoned Me, Stand Back, Revival, Red House^, You Don’t Love Me^, Highway 61 Revisited^

Set 2: Les Brers in A Minor, Come & Go Blues, Melissa, Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’ No More*, Good Morning Little School Girl*, Wasted Words, No One Left To Run With Anymore

Encore: Blues Jam* > One Way Out*
^ – w/ Johnny Winter
* – w/ Cesar Rosas and David Hidalgo

The Allmans return to the Beacon on Thursday night.

  1. Followed the link to their website, which is pratically the same as it was 10 years ago… Why have a website at all? Myspace could handle this crap easily.
