As we’ve previously reported due to a scheduling conflict at the Beacon Theater, namely Cirque de Soleil being booked at the newly renovated theater for an lengthy run of shows through the end of the May, the question of where the Allman Brother Band would be playing come this March seemed to be on a lot of people’s minds. Well the answer to that question was revealed as the legendary Southern-rock band will move things about 100+ blocks uptown to another one of the Manhattan’s historic venues, the United Palace Theater.

The Allman Brothers Band have confirmed eights shows so far to take place on March 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 19 & 20 at the 3,200 capacity former movie theater (which holds about 400 more people than the Beacon) in the Washington Heights section of New York City. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday January 15 via www.ticketmaster.com.
