Allman Brothers Band @ the Beacon – Night Ten: Rich Robinson, Steve Molitz & Horns

We’ve reached the home stretch of the Allman Brothers Band’s March Madness run at the Beacon. Just as they did last night, The Juke Horns came out and added brass to parts of both sets. Particle keyboardist Steve Molitz has been making the rounds lately as he followed up his guest spot at one of Furthur’s Best Buy Theater shows earlier this month by coming out for the last two songs of tonight’s first set – The Weight and One Way Out. Joining Molitz on the set closers was Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson.

Towards the end of tonight’s second set, The Juke Horns came out for a cover of Otis Redding’s I’ve Been Loving You Too Long and stayed out for The Same Thing, which also featured jazz guitarist Tom Guarna (Lenny White, Blood Sweat and Tears) and Southside Johnny drummer Joe Ballia. Jessica closed out the first second set of the run that didn’t include the standard bass/drum solo and featured a jam on Norwegian Wood.
