Allman Brothers Band to Run With Santana This Summer

After a week of bad news regarding the health of Gregg Allman, thinks are looking much better this week for the co-founding member of the Allman Brothers Band. Not only has his publicity tour for My Cross to Bear, Allman’s auto-biography which came out today, been rescheduled, but the Allman Brothers have just announced a series of co-headlining shows with fellow rock legends Santana and Lynyrd Skynyrd as well as a performance in Atlanta with jam stalwarts moe.

The summer schedule for the Allmans starts on July 21, with the group’s headlining slot at All Good. Then, the band meets up with Santana for a swing through Northeast amphitheaters. Once August starts, the ABB splits up with Santana and plays a gig in Atlanta with moe. and then the two major amphitheaters in North Carolina with fellow southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd before returning to the Northeast for a pair of concerts at Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion and the Peach Music Festival.
