Announcement: Mountain Jam 7 Lineup

The announcements continue to roll in this week as today Mountain Jam – the premier rock festival for mud, bikers, funnel cakes and ninjas – announced its preliminary batch of artists for the seventh annual installment at Hunter Mountain, scheduled for June 2-5. Mountain Jam 7 brings out one of its biggest hired guns to date in My Morning Jacket, who will serve as co-headliners. In addition, Mountain Jam architect Warren Haynes will perform with both Gov’t Mule and his latest project, the soul-centric Warren Haynes Band.

In general, Mountain Jam 7 looks to have one of its most diverse lineups to date, as other acts of note include Michael Franti & Spearhead, the Avett Brothers, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Mavis Staples, Electric Hot Tuna, Lotus, Portugal. The Man and Tim Reynolds & TR3. Finally, one of the most exciting sets at the Jam will surely be a visit from a long dormant, but recently reinvigorated Bela Fleck & the Flecktones.
