Jack White’s latest band toured Europe last fall where an intrepid fan scored a stage setlist from one of their gigs.

One of the most recent stage setlists to be posted on Flickr comes from an Of Montreal show in Boston that went down last week. Unlike the band’s NYC show, Susan Sarandon didn’t spank pigs in Boston.

5. Passion Pit 01/09/10 NYC, NY

ss5

[via Sachyn]

Passion Pit hit NYC for three sold out shows at Terminal 5 in January where a fan grabbed this stage setlist. We’re assuming SK15 and Wurly refers to the Yamaha SK-15 synth and Wurlitzer organ respectively.

6. Red Hot Chili Peppers 12/28/99 Daly City, CA

The days of hand-written stage setlists for big-name acts seems to be behind us. Flickr user Carl Pocket – who has an unbelievable collection of stage setlists – shares a gem from the glory days of stage setlists.

7. The Disco Biscuits 06/28/09 Acme, PA

[via Boykin’s Best]

Not only did Boykin’s Best get the stage setlist for the second set of the Disco Biscuits’ June 28, 2009 performance in Acme, PA but he also scored a print out of the lyrics to Minions which was on the stage as well.

8. Zappa Plays Zappa 6/16/09 Bristol, UK

ss10

[via Brown Moses]

Apparently Dweezil Zappa isn’t a fan of the “>” symbol as segue is written out on Zappa Plays Zappa setlists. He also includes instructions to his band on the setlist, in this case telling them to “GET TO BREAK DOWN SOONER” in Willie The Pimp.

9. Kings of Leon 09/25/09 Noblesville, IN

A lucky fan at Deer Creek scored both the stage setlist and a pair of drumsticks at the Kings of Leon’s Deer Creek debut last summer.

10. Rage Against The Machine 11/19/99 Oakland, CA

Here’s another gem from Carl Pocket’s collection featuring a ticket stub, backstage page and stage setlist from a Rage Against The Machine concert in 1999.

11. Animal Collective 12/15/09 Melbourne, AUS

Animal Collective may have made it big over the past few years, but they still haven’t invested in a printer. But seriously, we love hand-written setlists so it’s kinda cool they continue that trend.

12. Umphrey’s McGee 10/09/08 Clifton Park, NY

ss14

[via Play B-Sides]

When Umphrey’s McGee sent fans the Mantis Deluxe box set they included trinkets and memorabilia in each box. This worksheet that the band used to figure out the setlist for a 2008 show in Clifton Park was one of the pieces of memorabilia used in the Mantis boxes.

13. Vampire Weekend 02/11/08 Hamburg, GER

ss15

When Vampire Weekend made their first trip abroad in 2008 they went with a very basic design for their stage setlists. More recently, the band has upgraded their stage setlists as you can see from this shot Jeremy Gordon took at Webster Hall.

14. Pearl Jam 08/11/09 London, UK

ss16

Pearl Jam plays so many songs each night that they need to keep the writing extremely small on their stage setlists.

15. Bruce Springsteen 06/30/09 Bern, SWS

The Boss generally hand writes his setlists but we came across a copy of a printed setlist from his recently completed Radio Nowhere tour. We’ve seen a number of hand-written setlists from shows that happened after this one, so – to be honest – we’re not sure why he uses printed copies sometimes and hand-written ones at others.

16. Billy Joel & Elton John 05/30/09 Toronto, ON

ss18

[via Jeff – Concertholics.com]

With two full bands switching on and off at Elton John/Billy Joel shows, the crew needs to be informed of who’s playing what which is why the beginning of this stage setlist lists which members of what band plays on each song.

17. God Street Wine 04/23/95 Long Island, NY

It’s not everyday you run into a setlist written on a barf bag, but that’s exactly what we’ve got here.

18. Bustle In Your Hedgerow 12/22/09 Brooklyn, NY

ss12

[via Courtbean]

The stage setlist for the most recent Bustle show is split into sides instead of sets – we love it.

19. Paul McCartney 12/02/09 Hamburg, GER

ss20

[via concert-news.de]

Paul McCartney gives audiences nearly three hours of hits at every show, so it’s no surprise the type on his stage setlists is very small.

20. AC/DC 08/14/09 Chicago, IL

ss30

[via Rock For Kids]

To the dismay of their fans, AC/DC doesn’t change their setlists from night to night. Regardless, rock stars aren’t known for their memory, so there’s no harm in printing stage setlists every night.
