Agreed with Wilco, can’t believe none of you “experts” mentioned it. Seen a few shows. Just not a huge fan. Nils is a good guitarist but…

Interestingly, I used to say the same about Phish. Never saw a show. Talked myself out of liking them for the usual reasons. With the heavy reunion talk, I’ve done some homework. And, yeah, they’re the shit. I can’t take a time machine back to 95-98, so I’ll just have to make do with 3.0. Looking forward to it.

The National: i tried and tried when Paste said they made the best record of 2007. it was arguably the least fave of records i purchased that year.

Bob Dylan: yeah. i get it. he’s great. honestly, i love his stuff; but he has gotten TOO much play over the years.

White Stripes: dig the Raconteurs. dig Jack White producing Loretta Lynn. i EVEN dig meg white’s mediocre drumming. there’s just something i am not feeling about when they play together.

I didn’t really get Radiohead until about 3 years, Dolly Llama sent me a copy of Hail to the Thief, then AKess told me to get The Bends…I finally started to get it, and I really like it…the May 11, 2008 show in Bristow, VA made a huge impression on me, and Radiohead gets some play at least once a week if not more.

Great idea for a column. I couldn’t agree more on Panic and tDB. But hey, when I told my friend that I just didn’t get NASCAR fans at the track: loud noise, same thing going round n’ round, where is the entertainment? She said: sounds like a Phish show to me.
