The eighth annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival kicked off late Thursday afternoon, and while the weather may not have cooperated by all accounts things got off to a great start. Here’s what’s gone down so far…
Day One:
- List Time: Best & Worst of Day 1 According To Spin
- Brooklyn buzz band Chairlift name checks Phish
- Delta Spirit missed their 7 PM slot after a canceled flight, but managed to finally make it to Manchester
- Thirty-five pounds of mushroom infused chocolate peanut butter cups were confiscated by local police
- Zac Brown Band peppered their set with covers from The Band, Charlie Daniels and a John Mayer/Stevie Wonder mash-up

Day Two:
- The Beastie Boys brought out Nas to help out on a new tune
- World music was on display all day at The Other Tent
- Al Green delivered a set of new tunes and soul classics
- David Byrne sat in with The Dirty Projectors (as we predicted)
- Paste’s corespondent took in Santigold’s set

Day Three:
- The Boss’ twenty-eight song headlining appearance included a cover of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
- Trent Reznor claims NIN’s set to be their last US show ever
- Triumph finds plenty of material during his time in Manchester
- Jimmy Buffet served as more than a backing musician, delivering an early afternoon set of the hits
- moe.’s late night set stretched deep into the night and included a full band switch with Grace Potter & The Nocturnals
- MGMT packed That Tent for their late night slot

Day Four:
- Bonnaroo’s numbers “up dramatically” from last year
- Paste gushes over the Band Of Horses late afternoon performance
- Before hitting the stage with Phish, The Boss took in sets from Neko Case and Band Of Horses
- Erykah Badu joined Snoop Dogg for a cover of Lodi Dodi
