In the wake of last week’s unfortunate Langerado cancellation, there is some good news for those of you who still plan on heading down to Florida as a number of bands who had plans to play the fest have picked up shows in the area over the same weekend. Girl Talk and Deerhunter will share a bill at Ft. Lauderdale’s Culture Room, while Modest Mouse will take the stage at Revolution. The Pogues will be at Pompano Beach’s Pompano Amphitheatre, while King Khan & The Shrines will hold court in Miami at Vagabonds.

Finally, we get our chance to play US Weekly as we want to send a Mazel Tov out to Ryan Adams and his on-again, off-again beau Mandy Moore who got engaged last weekend in LA. The couple, who had dated from late 2007 through the summer of last year, had gotten back together in recent weeks before the always implusive Ry-Ry popped the question.
