The music of Wilco has moved beyond the aural realm and into the gastronomic world with the introduction of a Wilco-themed brew and sandwich shop. The Sky Blue Sky Sandwich Company Ltd. in Toronto offers sandwiches named after Wilco songs including Side With The Seeds, which contains slices of thick cheddar and caramelized onions, slathered in saucy roasted tomatoes between two slices of cheese bread.
A Wilco-themed beer also came out this week with the announcement of Lagunitas Brewing Company’s Wilco Tango Foxtrot brew – described as a big Ol’ Imperial Brown Ale to help you with your slipperly slide on into springtime. Rich, smooth, dangerous & chocolatey.

Finally, in 1971 singer-songwriter Graham Nash released his critically acclaimed solo debut Songs for Beginners, which was recorded shortly after his break-up with longtime girlfriend Joni Mitchell. The album peaked at #15 on the Billboard charts and was full of introspective songs from the former member of The Hollies and CSNY. Almost 40 years after its release, the album gets the tribute treatment courtesy of (((folkYEAH!))) who have recruited an impressive roster of musicians to re-record the album. Set to hit stores this Spring – Be Yourself: A Tribute To Graham Nash’s Songs For Beginners – features the like of Robin Pecknold (Fleet Foxes), Brendan Benson, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Vetiver, Port O’Brien and more.
