Earlier this month we told you about a Woody Guthrie tribute featuring Bob Weir that was set to be held on the campus of Penn State University in State College, Penn. on September 8th. Well apparently ticket sales for the concert weren’t great as the promoters unceremoniously cancelled the concert which was also to see performances by Rob Wasserman, Tom Paxton, Janis Ian, Steve Forbert, Ben Sollee and Sarah Jarosz, among others.

Weir, for whom the concert was smack dab in the middle of a run of acoustic shows that begins at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on Sept. 7th and runs through a headlining gig at Philly’s Tower Theatre on Sept. 10th, has picked up a solo acoustic gig at the Bearsville Theater in the Woodstock area on the 8th. Tickets are on sale now but are expected to go quickly.

Bob Weir Solo Acoustic:

September 7th: Opening for The Roots @ Capitol Theatre – Port Chester, NY
September 8th: Bearsville Theater – Bearsville, NY
September 9th: Opening for Bob Dylan @ Hershey Park Pavilion – Hershey, PA
September 10th: Tower Theatre – Upper Darby, PA
