Briefly: Phish Super Ball IX Gets Sirius

Those Phish fans who won’t be in attendance at this weekend’s Super Ball IX festival in Watkins Glen, NY will still be able to hear each of the band’s seven sets thanks to a Sirius/XM simulcast on Jam On as first reported by @OhKeePahBlog as well as over the air through WRCE 1490AM in the local area. While the official Super Ball IX FAQ mentioned there would be no webcast, it didn’t mention anything about a radio broadcast.

Not only will all of Phish’s music be broadcast but the festival’s own radio station, The Bunny, will be broadcast all weekend long. Head over to Phish.com’s Super Ball IX update to find out how you can help.

  1. This sounds great, on the link to help out the tag line has to say something about also broadcasting on livephish.com. If you do not have xm can you go to livephish.com and listen for free???? 🙂

  2. Thomas, I went to the Sirius Jam On channel, it looks like you can subscribe to Sirus XM for 30 days (cancel any time in the 30 days so you won’t be charged). I’m going to try that starting Friday.
