BoomBox Plans Colorado Dates

Alabama’s own, BoomBox, has announced an April weekend run of Colorado dates taking them to Boulder, Fort Collins, Denver and Rollinsville in four days. The musical journey into sound and revelation features stops at The Fox Theater, Hodi’s Half Note, Cervantes, and The Stage Stop.

Meshing decades of musical history and popular culture into one complete package, BoomBox offers a truly unique musical statement unlike anything on the music scene today. Each stop along the tour will benefit local Colorado non-profits, The Basics Fund and Conscious Alliance, as part of the band’s mission to help provide for the communities they visit.

The Basics Fund, a local non-profit that raises funds to pay for artists’ health insurance, will join forces with BoomBox to organize party transportation with buses that provide a fun, safe way to travel to see the shows. Buses will have stops in Boulder and Denver with round trip tickets and libations that will be offered for a donation of $25 to The Basics Fund. BoomBox’s contribution to the Colorado-based Conscious Alliance will be powered by the fans. For the donation of 10 can food items or a mere $10, concert goers will receive a Limited Edition commemorative event poster for this BoomBox Colorado run!

Producer/DJ Russ Randolph and singer/songwriter/guitarist Zion Rock Godchaux incorporate the rich history of an area widely recognized for its contributions to the music world in their own work. Mixing danceable rhythms, hypnotic mixes, and shimmering guitar phrases with an unspoken vibe, BoomBox also leaves their own mark on the Muscle Shoals music community. Featuring a DJ with a vocalist/guitarist in real time, the BoomBox experience is utterly matchless and cathartic all in the same.

Known for their high-energy live experience, the interplay between Randolph and Godchaux crafts a well-rounded soundscape appealing to an extensive audience. Drawing crowds of all ages and musical interests through their fusion of rock and roll, psychedelia, and house, the BoomBox sound stimulates the mind, body, and the soul. Randolph’s experience as a producer and Godchaux’s work with a pen contribute to the distinctiveness of the duo.

The four-night Colorado tour promises to be a memorable experience and a chance to see and hear a live show unlike any other. Joining BoomBox on their Colorado tour will be San Diego’s own Alfred Howard and the K23 Orchestra. The AHK23’s characteristic blend of classic soul, aggressive rock, and vintage psychedelia with master wordsmith Alfred Howard at the helm, has been nationally recognized by funk heads, indie-rock diehards, hip-hoppers, reggae, and poetry lovers alike.
